As I write on my NT laptop, more lines of code are running on it than on an MVS mainframe. NT 5.0 will soon break the 20 million-lines-of-source-code mark. Couple this figure with the fact that NT is relatively young as large OSs go. Any OS of NT's success and youth will have security holes, and Microsoft's good-enough development methodology only exacerbates those weaknesses
