Although the situation is changing, it's evident that Microsoft's NT developers are still working from the premise that a single user will use a single dedicated computer. This mindset assumes that if a machine crashes or is compromised, that failure will affect only one user and one computer. The one-user, one-machine scenario used to fit word processors and spreadsheets, but the nature of enterprise computing has changed drastically.
